Mbappe scores twice as PSG beat Nimes

Paris

Paris Saint Germain completed a 4-0 win at Nimes with Kylian Mbappe scoring twice as the French champions moved top of the Ligue 1 standings. Nimes were down to 10 men as their defender Loick Landre was shown a straight red for a foul on Rafinha.

Mbappe opened the scoring in the 32nd minute, going around keeper Baptiste Reynet before pushing the ball into the empty goal. PSG were ahead by 1-0 on the break. It seemed the game would end on the solo goal until  Florenzi doubled the tally on 78 minutes with a header before Mbappe struck again five minutes later after being set up by Sarabia. Sarabia scored the fourth goal for PSG and completed a comprehensive win for the French Champions.

Superstar Neymar was given rest after returning from the International duties. PSG are to face Manchester United in their opening match in the Champions League next week.
