Napoli thrash Atalanta

A stunning display of 20 minutes in the first half earned Napoli a 4-1 win against Atalanta. They scored 4 goals in 20 minutes to win the game. Atalanta scored 13 goals and won their first three matches, but they had no answers to the Napoli attacks in the first half.

 

Hirving Lozano scored two goals in four minutes to put Napoli ahead. He tapped in from Giovanni Di Lorenzo's cross in the 23rd minute and curled in the second after Dries Mertens pounced on a mix-up in the Atalanta midfield in the 27th minute. Matteo Politano scored the third goal in the half hour mark.

 

Victor Osimhen took advantage of poor defending to score the fourth goal in the 43rd minute. This was his first goal for the new club. Sam Lammers scored the only goal for Atalanta in the 69th minute.
